Adult Event Series

The City of South Perth Libraries have developed a diverse series of events aimed at adults. The idea is to provide something engaging and entertaining across a broad range of interests in our community.

Enjoy a glass of wine and some cheese while listening to a published author speak about their work and read an excerpt or two. Most authors will share some information about their writing process, how and why they came to write their featured prose or poetry and they may share some interesting or entertaining related trivia. We aim to offer a blend of established and emerging authors in this series.

Current Words with Wine:

Save the Date: Tuesday 20 March Michelle Johnston Dustfall

Save the Date: Thursday 12 April Dervla McTiernan The Ruin

Explore health & wellbeing issues and discover new food & cooking ideas with presenters who are cook book authors and/or health professionals. Tasting samples and cooking demonstrations, example programs and information packs are exciting inclusions in this series.

Current Food for Thought:

Get up-to-date information on a range of current topics in these sessions. Presenters are often from community groups, not for profit organisations and education bodies whose role is to provide information and education to the broader community.

The activities are designed to entertain and relax. They are facilitated by an experienced artist, teacher or community worker.

Occasionally we have the opportunity to present well known figures in a larger venue.
