Adult Event Series

Words with Wine

What: Following a brief introduction, the author speaks about their text, reads excerpts and answers questions from the audience pertaining to the text, writing experience and research they have conducted. The evening concludes with book sales and signing. A complimentary glass of wine and a selection of cheeses, nuts and dried fruit are included in this series.
Where: Words with Wine is usually held in the South Perth Library Function Room and occasionally at Manning Library.
When: Held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening from 6.30 - 7.30pm. We aim at holding one author talk per month, depending on the availablilty of authors. Wine and cheese are served from 6.15pm.
Who: We like to support and promote fledgling local writers as well as established authors.
Cost: Free

Food for Thought

What: Presentation of various aspects of health and wellbeing, food and nutrition by cook book authors and/or health professionals. Tasting samples and cooking demonstrations, example programs and information packs are exciting inclusions in this series.
Where: Food for Thought is usually held in the South Perth Library Function Room and occasionally at Manning Library.
When: 
Held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday daytime and evenings. We aim to hold three Food for Thought events per year; according to availability of presenters.
Who: We like to promote fabulous cook book authors and health professionals who provide up-to-date interesting information on the latest health trends.
Cost: Free

Get the Facts

What: Up-to-date information sessions on a range of current topics, often aligned with the Federal Government Calendar of Events.
Where: Usually held in the South Perth Library Function Room and occasionally at Manning Library.
When: Usually held on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Who: Community Groups, Not for Profit Organisations and professional presenters
Cost: Free

Mind Lounge

What: Activities designed to entertain and relax. Time out for some grown up fun; learn a craft or have a go at something creative, discover a new game or stretch your mind trying out something new.
Where: Usually held in the South Perth Library Function Room and occasionally at Manning Library.
When: Usually held on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Who: Community Groups, Not for Profit Organisations and professional presenters
Cost: Free

Special Edition

What: Special events presented by well known figures; celebrated authors, acclaimed illustrators, renowned experts and popular media personalities.
Where: Usually held in the South Perth Community Halls.
When: Usually held on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Who: Professional presenters
Cost: $5minimum however charge may vary according to event

Local History Events

What: Local History specific workshops and information sessions. Participants are often requested to bring their own equipment eg camera, tablet or other device.
Where: Sessions are usually held in the South Perth Library Function Room and occasionally at Manning Library.
When: Sessions are usually held on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Who: Community Groups, Not for Profit Organisations and professional presenters
Cost: Free
