If you are temporarily or permanently housebound you may be eligible for our free home reader service. Our service delivers books and other library items to housebound residents. A doctor's referral is required to join.
Library staff will select books based on your preferences and volunteers deliver these to your door every two weeks. When joining, you let us know what you like to read and how many books you require in each delivery. Items available for loan include:
- Books - fiction and non-fiction in regular or large print
- Talking books
- Music CDs
We also provide resources to aged care homes and hospitals within the City of South Perth on request. To find out more about the home reader service please contact Manning Library on 9474 0822.
