Joining the Library
Library membership is free and open to everyone. If you are over 18 years of age you can register online, or visit your nearest library branch. One of our friendly staff members will help you. Once registered you can start using the library services immediately. If you are under 18 you must be registered by a parent or guardian.
From 1 July 2018, new library members will need to present 100 points of identification made up from the following:

|Citizenship Certificate||70 points|
|Working With Children Card||70 points|
|Healthcare Card||40 points|
|Tertiary Student Card||40 points|
|Proof of Age Card||40 points|
|Mortgage/Rental Documents||35 points|
|Rates Notice||35 points|
|Credit/ATM Card||30 points|
|Medicare Card||30 points|
|Utility Bill||25 points|
|Marriage Certificate||25 points|
|Different WA Library Card||25 points|
|International Drivers Licence||25 points|
|Other (max. two)||25 points|
At least one of the documents MUST include the current address, and a signature. Original documents are to be provided and all documents must be current.

People Under 18
People under 18 years of age who wish to join, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who is required to show photo ID and sign the membership register. View the Unattended Children document for more information on child supervision in the libraries.
Items on loan can be renewed up to two times if the items are not overdue or reserved by another member.
A courtesy reminder notice will be sent when items are two weeks overdue.
A final notice will be sent and an administration fee charged if there is no response to the reminder notice.
